BUSINESS

Formo (founded 2019 as LegenDairy Foods) is a Berlin-based precision fermentation dairy company. Uses precision fermentation to produce animal-free recombinant casein for cheese and other dairy products. The company launched its first consumer products (koji-protein cream cheese and Camembert alternatives) at REWE, BILLA, and Metro stores across Germany and Austria in 2024, and is currently producing triple-digit tonnes per month.
