Zymtronix develops a universal enzyme immobilization platform using magnetic nanoparticle scaffolds that self-assemble around enzymes, stabilizing them for industrial biocatalysis without loss of activity. The company has evolved from a pure immobilization technology provider into a cell-free biomanufacturing platform, using immobilized multi-enzyme cascades to produce ingredients for agriculture (herbicides, fungicides), nutrition (human milk bioactives), cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals. Partnerships include Tate and Lyle (food ingredient manufacturing), Ginkgo Bioworks (enzyme discovery and engineering), and Codexis (early partnership for pharmaceutical enzymes).
