BUSINESS
Chromologics is a Copenhagen-based biotech company founded in 2017, spun out of the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). They produce natural food colorants via fungal fermentation, with their flagship product Natu.Red® targeting replacement of both synthetic red dyes and plant-extracted alternatives. They've raised approximately €20M total across extended seed rounds, with the most recent €7M round closing in November 2025 from Novo Holdings, EIFO, Döhler Ventures, and Collateral Good Ventures. They are currently completing regulatory submissions with EFSA and FDA ahead of product launch, and plan to scale production through a CMO partner (Olon Group).
